Vertex Atomic maintains an internal policy of never advising acceleration of construction ahead of regulatory or operator readiness. Safety determinations — including siting, design review, and operational authorization — rest solely with the national regulator and the IAEA. Our advisory supports the process; it never substitutes for it.
Environmental Policy
Environmental-impact assessment rigor and waste-management planning support.
We support environmental-impact assessment rigor, waste-management planning (interim storage strategy, long-term disposal planning coordination — not technical waste engineering), and alignment with low-carbon energy goals. Nuclear energy's environmental value depends on responsible waste management and siting — areas where institutional and policy discipline matter as much as technical capability.
Security Policy
IAEA Nuclear Security Series alignment and information safeguarding.
High-level commitment to IAEA Nuclear Security Series alignment and safeguarding of sensitive programmatic information. Vertex Atomic does not handle or advise on physical security system design — that function belongs to national security authorities and qualified technical specialists. Our role is ensuring security considerations are integrated into program governance.
Transparency & Public Engagement
Structured public communication programs for client states.
We support structured public communication programs for client states, particularly around safety and waste topics. Public trust is a program-success factor documented across IAEA case material. Programs that communicate openly and proactively build the social license that is, in practice, a prerequisite for sustainable nuclear energy.
